Today we dropped Penguin Girl off at the park for her soccer camp. It was slightly overcast so it was not as wretchedly hot as it's been the last several days. I gave Mr. Destructo the choice of going to the racecar park or the sandbox park. He chose sand. There were a couple of other boys there about his age but, happily, he did not get into any fights over toys with the other kids. He did take a shine to a slightly older little girl who led him on a mission to dig up berries in the sand and make "cakes" in little bowls. He also introduced himself to the girl's older brother. Then we ran a couple of errands with no tantrums interrupting before going back to pick up Penguin Girl.
It's so nice when Mr. Destructo decides to be cooperative!
