Favorite Dog

Mr. D:  I like Jelly.
Me:  Is Jelly your favorite?
Mr. D:  Yeah.
Me:  Do you like Pepper?
Mr. D:  No, just Jelly.
Me:  Why don't you like Pepper?
Mr. D:  Pepper has worms!


Car Guy thought Popcorn just didn't roll off the tongue so we had to come up with a new name for him.  We eventually settled on Pepper.  We took both dogs to the vet the other day just to get checked out.  It turned out that Pepper has hookworms.  Mr. Destructo was at the vet's with us so he saw the vet give the pups a does of deworming pills.  I had to explain to him what the medicine was for.  Apparently, now Mr. Destructo thinks Pepper is gross because he's full of worms.  Penguin Girl also got freaked out by the diagnosis (Car Guy's showing her a picture from the internet probably did not help) and immediately pledged not to play with Pepper until he was done with his second dose of deworming pills.  But she has not been able to stick to that promise.  We just remind her to wash her hands.
