The other day Mr. Destructo came running downstairs to get help with the computer. It's set up so he can turn it on, open Explorer, and the PBS Kids website loads as the homepage.
Mr. D: It's not working! There's ex in the erf!
Me: What's ex in the erf?
Mr. D: It's an ex and a erf! Ex erf! (in that tone we all use when we are exasperated at having to explain a simple thing to someone who is clearly clueless)
Car Guy: Ok, you show me. (both go upstairs) Oh! Of course!
When the computer is not getting a wi-fi signal, Explorer brings up an error page to tell you there is a problem. At the top of the page, there is a big red X over a picture of the Earth. Ex in the erf. Obviously. Duh!
